Thief in garden grabs bag

A WOMAN watched helplessly as a thief ran off with her handbag from the back garden of her daughter's home in Stourport.

The incident happened at The Gilgal at 11.20am on Monday when the shoulder-length, black leather bag was left on a table by the back door.

Moments later, the victim spotted a man running from the garden with the handbag, which contained about £300 cash, credit cards, chequebook, mobile phone and glasses.

He was described as aged 19 to 20, white with a tanned complexion, slim, with medium-length dark hair and a fringe halfway down his forehead.
